Yankee Cake



This is a New York Yankee Ball Cap Cake. It was vanilla with strawberry filling. Iced with Vanilla Buttercream.

I was thinking about making a cake like this. I love the fact that you didn't use fondant like most cakes I have found online. I am thinking about making a cake like this and was wondering what you used for the bill of the hat??

Cheryl, I used cake for the bill of the hat and just cut it into the shape of a hat bill. I dont care to work with fondant very much, so I try and do as much without it as possible. The majority of my customers prefer the taste of my buttercream icing anyways. Have fun making your cake :o)
